Through this writ petition, the petitioner, who is the resident of village Todar Majra, Tehsil Kharar, District S.A.S. Nagar, prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus seeking directions to respondent No.2 to take a final decision on the complaint filed by him. 2.

It has been pleaded that on the directions of the Deputy Director (LD), Department of Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab, the Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Kharar, had conducted an inquiry and submitted his report. On the basis thereof, a show cause notice was issued to respondent No.3-Sarabjit Singh under Section 20(4) of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. The petitioner complains that thereafter, no action has been taken.
