Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Narinder Singh, submits that the grand father of the petitioner died on 24.8.2015 and Bhog ceremony is fixed for 9.9.2015. He further submits that petitioner earlier availed of parole for four weeks i.e. from 31.7.2015 to 29.8.2015.

In the circumstances, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take the petitioner to the venue of Akhand Patth ceremony one hour prior to the beginning of the ceremony under police protection and after the completion of ceremony, lodge him in jail on the same day.
