In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to respondent No.4 to consider and dispose of the application dated 10.01.2025 (Annexure P-1) submitted by the petitioner for grant of Arms Licence.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner had submitted an application for grant of arms license on 10.01.2025 (Annexure P-1), however, no decision has been taken on the said application. Learned counsel, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.3 to decide the representation dated 19.04.2026 (Annexure P-2) submitted by the petitioner, in a time bound manner. 3.

Mr. Rohit Ahuja, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondents and does not object to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 to consider and decide the representation dated 19.04.2026 (Annexure P-2), submitted by the petitioner for grant of arms license within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law.
