An application dated 09.09.2015 has been sent by Malkeet Singh to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar and copy of which has been sent to Hon'ble the Chief Justice, which has been taken on judicial side.

It is stated by Malkeet Singh in the application that on 04.08.2015 at about 2.30 P.M, he was sleeping at his home. Then accused Saba came there and took his wife Rajbir Kaur with cash amounting to `50,000/- lying at home and his wife had left behind three years old female child.

Status report has been filed today by way of affidavit of Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) Amritsar. As per the status report, Malkeet Singh has given the affidavit by stating that he does VINEET GULATI 2016.01.27 11:29 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRWP No.1379 of 2015 -2not want to pursue this petition. It is also stated that Rajbir Kaur did not take away `50,000/- as alleged in his complaint. She went with Sabha to an unknown place. It is also stated in the affidavit of Malkeet Singh that he is ready to accept Rajbir Kaur as wife if she so desires and does not want to pursue the complaint any longer. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances and in view of the status report and affidavit of Malkeet Singh, the present petition stands dismissed as no further action is required in this case.
