(proceedings conducted through video conferencing) ****** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the instant petition had been filed seeking security as he apprehended threat at the hands of accused, who were trying to pressurize him to depose in their favour as the petitioner happens to be the eye-witness of the occurrence in question, but despite the fact that now his statement has been recorded, he is still getting threats from the accused.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in these peculiar circumstances, he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition with liberty to file afresh in view of the fresh grounds, which have accrued to him.
