A copy of application dated 06.10.2016 moved by Balwinder Kaur to Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar, has also been sent to the office of Hon'ble Chief Justice, has been taken on judicial side.

Notice of motion was issued in this case and the learned State counsel was directed to get the matter inquired and submit the preliminary report.

On 18.11.2015, status report was filed by the State stating that an FIR No.99 dated 05.10.2015 under Sections 21 and 22 of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 has already been registered at Police Station Bilga against Nirmal Singh alias Nimma and others and Nirmal Singh alias Nimma has got recovered Rs.1,40,000/- from the house of his maternal grandmother, whereas in the application it has been asserted that Rs.14,50,000/- has been taken away by the police.

-2Thereafter, vide order dated 18.11.2015, passed by this Court, Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Jalandhar was directed to get the matter inquired through some senior police official and submit the status report.

In compliance of the said order, fresh status report has been filed today in the Court. As per said report, the inquiry was got conducted from Superintendent of Police (Investigation) and during inquiry Rs.12,00,000/- was recovered from the dickey of the car, which is case property. It is further stated that Rs.1,40,000/- was recovered from the house of maternal grandmother of Nirmal Singh on 08.10.2015.

In view of the status report, no further action is required to be taken.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
