# Learned State counsel has placed on record reply by way of affidavit of Kirpal Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Fatehgarh Churian, Police District Batala.

In the light of contentions raised by learned State counsel and the fact that wife of the petitioner Inderjit Singh namely Harpreet Kaur has filed divorce petition (Annexure R1) against the petitioner/husband seeking divorce on the basis of cruelty, since there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner and nothing survives in this petition, the same stands dismissed as such.
