Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an election petition dated 28.11.2024 (Annexure P-1), which is not being decided and the same is pending since long. Hence, the respondents be directed to decide the election petition in a time bound manner so that the petitioner does not suffer any prejudice.

Mr. Rahul Rampal, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that if both the parties will coordinate and cooperate, all the efforts will be made to decide the election petition within a period of six months from the next date of hearing already fixed before the Election Tribunal.

Keeping in view the statement made by learned State counsel recorded herein above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition may kindly be disposed of having not been pressed any further.
