The present petition has been preferred for quashing of FIR No.17 dated 25.04.2017 registered under Sections 376/506 of the Indian Penal Code 1860, at Police Station Rangar Nangal, District Gurdaspur along with subsequent proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of the compromise dated 09.02.2018 (Annexure P-2).

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Amarjit Singh, has submitted that after investigation, cancellation report was filed before the Illaqa Magistrate and the same was accepted in the Lok Adalat vide order dated 13.05.2023.
