RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.85 dated 21.09.2016 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Cantt. Bathinda, on the basis of compromise dated 05.02.2018 (Annexure P-2).

Pursuant to order dated 22.02.2018 of this Court, the parties appeared before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate on 05.03.2018 to get their statements recorded. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Bathinda, has submitted his report vide letter bearing No.392 dated 13.03.2018 duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Bathinda, vide Endst. No.489 dated 14.09.2018.

According to the report, learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Bathinda is satisfied that compromise entered into between the parties is genuine and the same has been effected voluntarily, without any coercion and undue influence.

-2CRM-M-7765 of 2018 (O&M) Bathinda, dated 13.03.2018 and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony in relations between the parties, FIR No.85 dated 21.09.2016 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Cantt. Bathinda is hereby quashed, subject to payment of costs of `10,000/-, out of which `6,000/- shall be deposited with the Punjab State Legal Services Authority and `4,000/- with the Punjab and Haryana High Court Lawyers' Welfare Fund.

Petition is disposed of accordingly.
