NARESH KUMAR SANGHI, J (Oral) Present petition was received by post in the Secretariat of Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice, which was ordered to be treated on judicial side. Ms. Ramneeq Kaur, Advocate, was appointed as an Amicus Curiae to defend the applicant/petitioner.

In pursuance of notice of motion issued by this Court, reply has been filed on behalf of State of Punjab. Learned counsel for the State submits that daughter of the petitioner is missing and a case for the offences punishable under Sections 363 and 366-A, IPC, has been registered at Police PRASHANT KAPOOR 2016.02.11 17:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRWP-1649-2015 Station, Jandiala, Police District Amritsar (Rural), vide FIR No. 229, dated 16.11.2010. He further submits that the investigation is going on and as soon as the accused is apprehended and the alleged detenue is recovered, her custody would be restored to the petitioner.
