This criminal writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Habeas Corpus for the protection of detenue i.e. Ms. Angalpreet Kaur, daughter-in-law and Mantajpreet Singh, grand-son of the petitioner, from the illegal custody of private respondent No.3.

Notice of motion has been issued in this case. Ms. Shivali, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, as HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2015.12.19 15:18 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr.W.P. No.1692 of 2015 [2] well as detenues Angalpreet Kaur along with Mantajpreet Singh (minor child aged about 6-7- months) appeared in the Court today along with the counsel for the respondent No.3. Angalpreet Kaur stated in the Court that she is staying with her parents as per her own will. She has not been illegally detained by her parents. She further stated that there is no threat to her life or the life of her minor child.

Keeping in view the statement of detenue Angalpreet Kaur, no further action is required to be taken in this petition and the same is disposed of in view of the statement made by the detenue. December 14, 2015.
