This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance a direction to the respondents to consider his request dated 12.08.2015 for three weeks furlough under the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoner's (Temporary Release) Act, 1962 for meeting his family members. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the respondents may be directed to dispose of his request which is pending since 12.08.2015 and he does not press the other relief asked in this petition.
In view of above, the respondents are directed to dispose of request dated 12.08.2015 made by the petitioner expeditiously preferably within one month, as per law, after receiving certified copy of this order.
