The letter received in the Secretariat of Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice was treated to be a criminal writ petition for issuance of a writ in the nature of habeas corpus. Notice was issued and the local police was directed to produce the alleged detenu, Gurbaksh Singh, before this Court. Despite information, Gurbaksh Singh failed to appear before this Court, therefore, he was ordered to be summoned through PRASHANT KAPOOR 2016.02.27 17:14 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
CRWP-1739-2015 bailable warrants.
In compliance thereof, he (Gurbaksh Singh) has appeared before this Court who has been identified by ASI Salinder Singh of Police Station, Bhogpur, District Jalandhar. Gurbaksh Singh states at the bar that at present he is not in illegal confinement.
In view of above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present case.
