JITENDRA CHAUHAN , J .(Oral) Through the instant civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners seek quashing of notice (Annexure P-5) vide which another opportunity for appearing in the counselling has been given to those candidates who could not appear in the previous counselling.

In pursuance to the advertisement (Annexure P-1), the petitioners applied for the post of Junior Technician (Electrician). The qualification required for the post in question was matriculation or its equivalent from some recognized institute with Certificate Course in Electrician (Auto Electrician) trade from ITI or its equivalent institute. Thereafter, the petitioners appeared in the counselling and the certificates of the petitioners were checked. (2) CWP-15434-2012 (O&M) 5, another opportunity was granted to those candidates who could not appear in the previous counselling as the required number of candidates were not available.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners possess the required qualification of Certificate Course of ITI (Electrical).

On the other hand, the stand of the respondents is that the Certificate Course of ITI, Electrical is not equivalent to Certificate Course in Electrician (Auto Electrician).

Vide order dated 01.02.2018, respondent No.3 i.e. Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training was directed to inquire into the matter and file a short affidavit. In pursuance thereto, respondent No.3 has filed affidavit mentioning that though, there is a trade of Auto Electrician under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme of DG&T, New Delhi but the same is a separate trade from the Certificate Course in ITI (Electrical).

In view of the fact that the petitioners do not possess the required qualification, no case for interference is made out.
