(ORAL) The instant petition has been filed seeking the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.942 dated 20.08.2021 under Section 135 of Electricity Act, 2003, registered at Police Station Anti Power Theft, Jalandhar.

At the outset, learned State counsel, while opposing the prayer and submissions made by the counsel opposite, has submitted that firstly the petitioner is a proclaimed offender, which fact has been withheld from this Court. He submits, on further instructions from ASI Saroop Singh, that the petitioner was declared a proclaimed offender on 28.03.2025. In addition, it has been submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and is involved in three cases involving similar offences.

In the circumstances, no ground is made out extend the concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 4.
Dismissed.
