Petitioner seeks concession of regular bail in a case registered against him under sections 457/380/382/34 IPC vide FIR No. 149 dated 12.07.2017 at police station Kotwali, Bathinda. It has been urged before the court that from bare perusal of the FIR, no offence is made out against the petitioner. According to him, petitioner has no connection with the commission of crime. He has been falsely implicated in the case. Thus, he deserves the concession of bail. Learned State counsel has opposed the prayer on the ground that there are specific allegations against the petitioner. According to him, petitioner is the main accused who committed the theft. I have heard learned counsel for the parties. FIR was lodged on the statement of Kiran Aggarwal. She alleged that on the day of occurrence at about 4:15 A.M.

Thereafter, assailants decamped with two gold bracelets, kitty set, ear topus and three rings etc. alongwith other sundry articles from the house. FIR was registered and investigation ensued. On the basis of detailed inquiry conducted by the police, petitioner's name surfaced. He alongwith co-accused forcibly entered the house of complainant and committed the theft.

Keeping in view the nature of allegations and the gravity of crime, I am of the considered view that petitioner is not entitled to concession of bail. Petition is thus without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
