***** RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing order dated 23.04.2019 of ld. Addl. Sessions Judge, Kurukshetra, whereby petitioner was directed to pay 20% of the compensation amount awarded by ld. trial court, in complaint under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. Heard.

The impugned order dated 23.04.2019 of ld. Addl. Sessions Judge, Kurukshetra, is modified to the extent that 20% of the compensation amount so ordered to be deposited by the petitioner shall be converted into a STDR (fixed deposit receipt) in some nationalised bank in the name of the court, fetching maximum rate of interest to save loss of interest to the party, who shall finally be held entitled for SONIKA 2019.05.31 18:04 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
