By order dated 09.01.2018 (Annexure P-1), this Court disposed of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to look into the grievances raised by the petitioner in his representation and to decide the same in accordance with law and instructions issued by the Government from time to time as well as in view of the judgment passed by this Court on 23.04.2004 in CWP No.7126 of 2004 titled as 'Iqbal Singh Vs. Punjab State Electricity Board and others'. The petitioner has filed this petition alleging violation of the aforesaid order (Annexure P-1). COCP No.1860 of 2020 {2} Notice of motion.

Mr. Sehajbir Singh, Advocate who is available on conference call accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He has instructions to state that the order dated 09.01.2018 (Annexure P-1) has been complied with. He has placed on record the office order No.313/PF dated 08.09.2020 whereby the period of work charged service of the petitioner from 01.02.1981 to 11.08.1988 has been taken into account for the purpose of calculation of pensionary benefits. He has also placed on record the certificate whereby arrears of the amount due i.e. gratuity amounting to Rs.88,254/- and arrears of revised pension amounting to Rs.38,210/-, have been transferred to the bank account of the petitioner. Still further, he has placed on record the copy of the statement dated 10.09.2020 executed by the petitioner to the effect that benefit which was due to him has been credited to his bank account and that he has no dispute with the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited. The petitioner has further stated that he will withdraw the contempt petition filed by him.

Faced with this development, counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the contempt petition. Permitted to do so. Dismissed as withdrawn.
