(ORAL) In compliance of order dated 10.7.2015 passed by this Court, affidavit dated 25.7.2015 of the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, alongwith action taken report, has been filed. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from Inspector Parvesh Chopra, SHO, Police Station Sultanwind, District Amritsar and also while referring to the averments taken in para 5 of the affidavit, submits that since appropriate action has already been initiated by way of departmental enquiry against the erring officers/officials and the same shall be taken to its logical end at an early date, present petition does not survive any further and the same may be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. CRWP No. 895 of 2014 (O&M) Faced with the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits the let the present petition be disposed of in view of the statement made by learned counsel for the State but respondent No.2 may be directed to ensure early conclusion of the departmental enquiry and taking of suitable action on the enquiry report. In view of the abovesaid respective stands taken by learned counsel for the parties, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar-respondent No.2 that he shall personally monitor the departmental enquiry against the erring officers/officials and shall ensure that departmental enquiry is concluded at an early date. Thereafter based on the enquiry report, he shall pass an appropriate order without any further loss of time. Disposed of, accordingly.
