Prayer in the instant civil writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents No.3 and 4 to make reference of Mutation No.2978 in the jamabandi and cancellation of mutation No. 3962. 2.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied at this stage in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.2- the District Collector, Hoshiarpur to decide representation dated 06.09.2024 (Annexure P-8) submitted by the petitioner.

At this stage, Mr. Nirmaljit Singh Diwana, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab appears on behalf of the respondents/State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him. He submits that the representation dated 06.09.2024 (Annexure P8) would be considered and decided by the District Collector, Hoshiarpur within a period of six weeks from today after affording due opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties.
