(Oral) This petition under Section 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of direction to respondent Nos. 2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and further to ensure that she may not be harassed by respondent No. 4 to 7 The grievance of the petitioner is that her brother i.e respondent No. 4 engaged the petitioner with a boy of his choice namely Sandeep without her consent. However, Sandeep is a habitual drunker. The petitioner is not ready to get marry yet. On refusal, the petitioner was given beatings by respondent Nos. 4 to 7. Issue notice of motion.

On asking of the Court, Ms. Sheenu Sura, D.A.G, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

This petition is being disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to approach respondent No. 2-Supdt of Police, Hisar, District Hisar for protection who will look into her representation dated 20.08.2020 (P-2) and pass speaking order.
