**** MEHINDER SINGH SULLAR , J.(oral) Petitioner-Reena Kaur daughter of Balwinder Singh (detenue), claiming herself to be major, has preferred the instant petition for HabeasCorpus, to release her from the custody of State Protective Home, Basti Guja, Jallandhar (respondent No.5).

In pursuance of the order, In-charge of respondent No.5 has produced the detenue today in the Court and she has made the following statement: - "I am major. I have been detained in State Protective Home, Jalandhar (respondent No.5) against my wishes. Now I do not want to live in the Protective Home as it is affecting my physical and mental health. I may be permitted to go to my home.

Meaning thereby, according to the petitioner, she is major and does not want to stay in the protective home, for the reasons mentioned here-in-above. She intends to go to her home. Therefore, to my mind, there is no legal impediment in her release in this relevant direction. 4.

In the light of aforesaid reasons, the present petition for Habeas-Corpus is hereby accepted. At the same time, respondent No.5 is directed to release the petitioner (detenue) forthwith to enable her to go her home, as prayed for.
