Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying seeking entrustment of investigation in Crime No.32/2017 dated 30.05.2017 registered under Sections 8, 21, 23, 60 and 61 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, to an independent agency like CBI.

None has come forward on behalf of the petitioner to pursue the matter.

Today, learned counsel for respondent No.5 has produced a copy of judgment and order of sentence dated 08.08.2023 passed by learned Judge, Special Court, Fazilka, in CNR No.PBFZCO-0048222017 titled as VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2023.11.23 10:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

2023:PHHC:148036 CRM-M-8168-2018 (O&M) -2- 'Narcotics Control Bureau Vs. Kala Singh', which is taken on record and marked as Mark 'A'.

Perusal of the aforesaid judgment and order reveals that petitioner already stands convicted under Sections 21(c) and 23 of the NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 12 years along with fine of Rs.2,00,000/- each.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed off as having been rendered infructuous.
