(Oral) Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for quashing the letter dated 18.04.2026 (Annexure P-10) issued by respondent No.7 vide which request of the petitioner dated 07.04.2026 (P-9) for allowing her to continue in service till the age of 60 years, has been rejected in violation of Union Territory of Chandigarh (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2022 vide notification dated 29.03.2022 (P-5). 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner would state that the proposal forwarded by the UT Administration, Chandigarh is pending consideration qua the relaxation in age and extending the service upto the age of 60 years, with the Central Government at this stage.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks SONIA BURA 2026.05.06 10:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-13173-2026 -2- permission to withdraw the instant petition to await the outcome of the proposal, which is under consideration with the Central Government as stated above.

The present petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. However, petitioner would be at liberty accordingly, if need so arises, to challenge the decision of the Central Government or the UT Administration at the subsequent stage.
