(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the respondents to consider the petitioner for promotion from SI/GD to Insp/GD as per recommendation/order No. P-Seven4/2024-Local-one dated 24.04.2024. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents refers to the averments contained in para No. 9 of the preliminary submissions wherein the case regarding relaxation of mandatory field service for promotion of the petitioner to the rank of Inspector/General Duty was submitted to the Inspector General of Police, Northern Sector, CRPF and that the DIG, Establishment Directorate, CRPF has already conveyed the approval of the Director General CRPF for grant of

CWP-13586-2024 relaxation of mandatory field service to the petitioner. He further submits that the matter has been taken up with the IG, Northern Sector and that the promotion has already been granted to the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, however, pleads ignorance.

Be that as it may, since a specific statement has been made by the Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents about the promotion having been granted to the petitioner to the rank of Inspector/General Duty, as prayed for in the present writ petition, the present writ petition is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. The admissible revised pensionary benefits be also released to the petitioner in a time bound manner and preferrably within a period of three months of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if not already released.
