**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition for the issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents No.1 and 2 to issue further directions to respondents No.3 and 4 to release payment of Rs.21,32,697/- for the completed work at Dhuri site and Guruharsahai.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has successfully completed all the work assignments mentioned in the work order. The work assignment at Dhuri site has been completed for Rs.1,07,92,140/- as the total amount, out of which Rs.91,69,524/- has already been released and an amount of Rs.16,22,616/- is still pending. For the completed JYOTI SHARMA 2022.07.20 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP No. 15404 of 2022 -2work at Guruharsahai, total amount was Rs.34,89,155/-. Out of the aforesaid amount, an amount of Rs.29,79,074/- has already been released and the remaining amount is Rs.5,10,081/-. In this way, the total amount of Rs.21,32,697/- is still due to be paid to the petitioner by respondent- department. Petitioner has already issued a legal notice dated 12.10.2021.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case its legal notice is directed to be decided by the respondents. Notice of motion.
On the asking of the Court, Ms. Aakanksha, A.A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of State of Punjab. This petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to take note of pending legal notice dated 12.10.2021 and decide the same in accordance with law preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
