Present petition has been filed for issuance of direction to the official respondent Nos.2 to 4 to protect the life, liberty and property of the petitioners, who are in eminent danger at the hands of private respondent Nos.5 to 9.

On advance notice, Mr. Neeraj Madaan, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, appears on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that, in order to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners, an FIR bearing No.0039 dated 03.03.2026 was already registered on the basis of the complaint moved by the petitioners against the private respondents, under Sections 118(1), 115(2), 351(2), 190 and 191(3) of BNS at Police Station City Sunam, District Sangrur (Annexure P-1). On instructions, he further submits that the accused persons named in the said FIR, have already been released on bail, and challan was presented on 30.04.2026.

CRWP-5108-2026 -2Despite this, petitioners remain dissatisfied and continued to express apprehension regarding their life and liberty. 4.
This Court has examined the present petition and the relief sought therein, and finds that no substantial material has been placed on record to establish that apprehension expressed by the petitioners is genuine.
In the event of any real threat perception or if any untoward incident occurs at the hands of the accused persons, it is always open for the complainant party to seek cancellation of the bail already granted to them, in accordance with law.

In view of the above, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is hereby dismissed.
