(Oral) The present petition has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 10 with respect to the occurrence dated 02.09.2020, wherein, the private respondents No. 4 to 10 with some unknown persons armed with deadly weapons attacked the petitioner and his family and demolished the room constructed by him on the land provided by the Punjab Wakf Board on lease.

On the asking of the Court, Ms. Samina Dhir, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State.
