**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioner through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is seeking quashing of FIR No.5 dated 21.01.2022 registered at Police Station Women Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar, under Section 498-A of IPC.
Learned Senior counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, confines his prayer to exemption of petitioner from personal appearance before the trial Court on the ground that the petitioner is a doctor and he is posted at Ellenabad, District Sirsa as Medical Officer. It is very difficult for the petitioner to travel after obtaining leave on each and every date from Ellenabad to Jalandhar.
Without commenting on merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with following directions :
i) Personal appearance of the petitioners before trial Court shall remain exempt;
