In the present petition, the prayer of the petitioner is that the respondent No. 2 be directed to initiate the action for the cancellation of the permits No. 68/MB/R/88, 48/MBR/88, 20/MB/90 and 8/MB/90, as the said permits have been issued to the petitioner in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1998.

Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has already raised the said grievance in the Legal Notice dated 04.04.2025 (Annexure P-11) but the same is still pending consideration with the respondent No. 2 and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a direction is issued to the respondent No. 2 to decide the same by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner. 4.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Animesh Sharma, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that in case, Legal Notice dated 04.04.2025 (Annexure P-11) has been received in the office of the concerned authorities and the same is still pending consideration with the authorities concerned, the same will be decided by the competent authority within a period of eight weeks of the receipt of certified copy of this order by passing an appropriate speaking order and in case, the petitioner is found entitled for grant of any relief, the same will be granted to her, otherwise due reasons for not accepting the claim of the petitioner will be mentioned in the speaking order the said reasons will also be conveyed to the petitioner for her information and necessary action.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the statement of learned State counsel, the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further. 7.
