The petitioners have filed this criminal writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, directing respondents No.1 to 4 to get released the detenue and for appointment of a Warrant Officer to search for the detenue and produce in the Court as well as the custody of the detenue be given to the petitioner, who has been illegally detained by respondent No.4. Notice of motion was issued and learned State counsel was directed to get the matter enquired through the concerned Station House Officer and to submit the report. Direction was also given that if the detenue is found to be kept illegally against her wishes by the private respondent, only in that condition she be produced in this Court. CRWP No.1141 of 2016 -2Today, learned State counsel filed the reply by stating that detenue is residing with respondent No.4 Ashwani Kumar as his wife. It is also in the reply that they have also applied for protection before this Court. The statements of detenue Sandeep Kaur as well as Ashwani Sharma were also recorded by ASI Bhag Singh. Sandeep Kaur has given the statement that Ashwani Kumar neither detained her nor confined her and she did not want to meet her father.

In view of the reply filed by learned State counsel and in view of the statement of the detenue recorded by ASI Bhag Singh, no further action is required in the present petition and the same is disposed of, accordingly.
