The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the salary/arrears of the petitioners (Master Cadre 2392) for the training period from the date of appointment letter to the date of joining at the allotted stations as given to the similarly situated Teachers of Master Cadre 3704, vide letter dated 18.06.2025 (Annexure P-4), with all consequential benefits as per their entitlement from the due date till the date of actual benefits and release the same along with interest on its delayed payment @ 12% per annum from the due date of their entitlement till the date of actual payment in their favour.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also made a representation dated 18.08.2025 (Annexure P-5) to the respondents which is still pending consideration. CWP-13342-2026 -2stage, the petitioners would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the respondents to consider and decide the said representation, by passing a speaking order, in a time bound manner. 3.

On receipt of advance copy, Mr. Kanav Singla, AAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. He has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide representation dated 18.08.2025 (Annexure P-5) submitted by the petitioners expeditiously, by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to them, preferably within a period of 03 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
