**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioners have preferred this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction especially in the nature of mandamus, directing respondent No.1 to ensure that electricity connection is provided and electricity is supplied to the petitioners at the earliest.

Notice of motion was issued on 16.09.2020 on the premise that the respondents have released the electricity connections in favour of similarly situated plot holders of Block D and non-grant of electricity connection is discriminatory viz-aviz the petitioners. CWP No.14597 of 2020(O&M) -2Today, learned Senior Counsel for respondents No.1 to 3 has placed reliance upon the scheme formulated by respondent No.1, wherein it has been decided as a policy that respondent No.1 shall provide electricity connection to all other plot holders who had purchased plots in 'J' Block of Edenburg City, Sector-91, Faridabad, provided they complete the necessary formalities including making of necessary payments to the respondent(s)-Nigam as settled in the scheme. Learned Senior Counsel further submits that since respondent No.1 has formulated a scheme and intends to give benefit of the scheme to all such plot holders within four weeks from the date of completion of necessary formalities, therefore, this petition has become infructuous.

Learned counsel for the petitioners admits the aforesaid position and submits that the petitioners shall comply with the requirements in terms of the scheme along with requisite deposit of charges.
