Petitioners have prayed for issuance of necessary directions to the official respondents for protecting their civil/personal rights and liberties from being invaded by the private respondents.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Amar Ashok Pathak, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of Staterespondents No.1 to 4 and submits that the police has recorded the statements of the petitioners as well as private respondents. In view of statement made by learned counsel for the petitioners, this petition is rendered infructuous, however, if the petitioners still feel any apprehension, they would be at liberty to approach respondent No.2 by way of representation and on receipt of such representation, respondent No.2 would act in accordance with law.
