Pardeep Kumar (Confined In District Jail, Kurukshetra) v. State Of Haryana & ORS.
CRWP-1188-2016
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH
CRWP-1188-2016 Date of Decision: September 8, 2016 Pardeep Kumar

Versus
State of Haryana and others
...Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AJAY TEWARI
Present:
Mr. Saurabh Arora, Advocate, for the petitioner.
Mr. Sandeep Vashisht, DAG, Haryana.
AJAY TEWARI, J. (Oral) This is a petition for temporary parole for three weeks on account of the fact that the brother of the petitioner has died. In reply the only ground for denial is the fact that the petitioner has not completed one year of sentence and, therefore, he is not eligible for parole.
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that Rasam Pagri is fixed for 16.9.2016 and he would not insist on three weeks parole but he may be permitted to attend the last rites.
I find this to be a fair submission. Resultantly, it is appropriate to grant the petitioner parole for a period of ten days from the date of his release from jail, subject to his furnishing bail bonds to the satisfaction of the learned District Magistrate, Kurukshetra.
