(ORAL) This is a petition for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 1 dated 03.01.2018 under Sections 498-A /406 of the IPC, registered at Police Station City Sangrur, District Sangrur. This Court was pleased to pass the following order on 28.02.2018 :- "Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that all allegations in the FIR pertain to the son of the petitioner and the husband of the complainant as far as the allegations against the petitioner are general and vague in nature. The petitioner is residing at Amethi (UP) whereas her son was residing at Sangrur. It is submitted that whatever the dowry articles are in possession of the petitioner will be handed over to the Investigating Officer.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is not required for investigation any further.

Learned counsel for the respondent-State, on instructions from ASI Uddam Singh, confirms the aforesaid fact. Since the petitioner has joined the investigation, the petition is allowed and interim order dated 28.02.2018 is hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner will not tamper with evidence or hamper the investigation; will not leave India without permission of the Court and will comply with the conditions contained in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. 14.05.2018 (JAISHREE THAKUR) Satyawan JUDGE Whether speaking/reasoned Yes.
