(Oral) Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that case of the petitioner for his premature release is pending consideration before the authorities but no final decision in the matter has been taken despite the fact that the petitioner has already completed period of custody as provided for in the policy regarding premature release of life convict (Annexure P1).

Counsel for the State of Haryana, in reply, has submitted that the matter was sent to the Committee but she is not aware of the latest position if the Committee has disposed of the matter or otherwise. Without going into merits of the allegations raised by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to take a final decision in the matter if not already taken within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
