Petitioner, who had been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 15 years for the offence punishable under Section Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, has applied for agricultural parole.

It is stated that the application of petitioner is not being decided by the authorities which was submitted in the month of June, 2014. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances but without expressing any opinion on merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.2 and 4 to consider the petitioner's application for parole and decide the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
