This criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for release of Sunita Devi (detenue) step-mother of the petitioner from the illegal custody of respondents No.6 to 8 and further for appointing Warrant Officer for the search of premises of respondents No.6 & 8 or any other places as pointed out by the petitioner for the release of Sunita Devi. Notice of motion has been issued in this case. Mr. B.S. Virk, learned Deputy Advocate General, Haryana has put in appearance on behalf of the respondent-State and contested this criminal writ petition. Reply by way of affidavit of Mr. Mahesh Kumar, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kanina has been filed on behalf of Harpal Singh Parmar 2016.10.26 17:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. W.P. No.1242 of 2016 [2] respondents No.1 to 3, in which it has been stated that Sunita Devi wife of Nand Lal (detenue) has already died due to illness as per inquiry conducted by the Local Police.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and in view of the reply no further action is required to be taken in this petition.

The criminal writ petition is disposed of accordingly. October 26, 2016.
