Petitioner prays for the grant of two weeks' parole on account of the marriage of his sister - Kulwinder Kaur to be solemnized on 24.01.2015. It is submitted that petitioner is the only male member in the family, his father having since passed away. Therefore, his presence is much required at the time of marriage ceremony of his sister. CRWP No.72 of 2015 [2] District Amritsar (Rural) has been filed on behalf of respondent No.1 today in Court. It is verified that the marriage of petitioner's sister, Kulwinder Kaur is to be solemnized with Gurwinder Singh son of Shingara Singh Dhillon on 24.01.2015 at PR Residency, Amritsar. No objection is raised in this affidavit for the grant of parole for two weeks to the petitioner on account of the marriage of his sister. It is confirmed by learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Buta Singh, that the petitioner's father has indeed passed away.
Keeping in view the above, it is considered just and expedient to allow this petition for grant of parole to the petitioner. Petitioner shall be released on parole for a period of two weeks subject to his furnishing bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar.
He shall surrender before the jail authorities on 06.02.2015 at 11.00 a.m.
