(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus seeking release of detenue Satish Kumar, who is allegedly confined by Raj Negi-respondent No. 3.

A perusal of the status report dated 23.9.2020, reveals that during the inquiry, it was found by the police that at present Satish Kumar is in USA and has not been illegally detained by respondent No. 3. At this stage, affidavit of petitioner-Rani dated 14.10.2020 has been filed through e-mail. Copy of the same is taken on record. As per the said affidavit, the petitioner wants to withdraw the present case.
