Through the present petition, the petitioner seeks consideration of her candidature for appointment as Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Biology.

Shorn of the unnecessary details, the facts, which are borne out from the record of the case and which have emerged from the arguments raised at the bar are that in pursuance to an advertisement dated 07.06.2012, the petitioner made an application for consideration of her candidature for appointment as PGT Biology. However, after interview, her candidature was rejected on the ground that the petitioner did not possess the essential MONIKA 2015.11.30 18:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

C. W. P. No. 12934 of 2013 academic qualification, as required since the required qualification was M.Sc. in Life Science and the petitioner's qualification was M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology.

Counsel for the parties are ad idem that the issue raised in the present petition stands decided in favour of the petitioner in C. W. P. No. 19046 of 2012 - Kajal vs. State of Haryana and others, decided on 26.05.2014.

In view of the aforesaid consensus, the present petition stands allowed, with the issuance of directions to the respondents to consider the petitioner eligible and offer her appointment, in case she has more merit than the last person appointed in the category, to which the petitioner had applied, with all consequential benefits, except arrears of pay.
