    Through this writ petition, the petitioner prays for issuance of a direction to the respondents to decide the demand notice dated 05.03.2021. In essence, the petitioner prays for direction to the respondents to pay interest for alleged delay in the release of pensionary benefits. He retired from the post of Chief Pharmacy Officer on 31.12.2019. He claims that his retiral benefits were not computed for some time. It is not disputed that the entire retiral benefits have already been paid. The petitioner, as noticed, only prays for the payment of interest. It is also not in dispute that 6 months time is normally granted for settling the retiral dues. Thus, the effective delay, if any, is not very long or inordinate. Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, this Bench is not inclined to exercise its extra-ordinary jurisdiction. The petitioner, if so advised, may avail the alternative remedy.

Disposed of.

All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
