(Oral) The alleged detenue Manpreet Kaur has been produced by LC Ritu Devi and Inspector Kapil Kaushal, Police Station Dasuha, District Hoshiarpur before this Court, who has been identified by Manjit Kaur and Satpal Singh, parents of her husband Hardeep Singh, who too is present in the Court and all the three persons have assured that they are ready to keep and maintain and look after Manpreet Kaur and will also ensure protection of life and liberty of Manpreet Kaur. The girl is called upon to accompany them if she so desired. Since both boy and girl have accepted their relationship and thus, in view of the settled law that husband is the guardian of minor girl she is allowed to accompany him.

In view of the aforesaid, directions are issued to the official respondents to release the girl and hand her over to any of the above three Dalbir Singh Tiwana 2016.11.04 16:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

Criminal Writ Petition No. 1299 of 2016 -2persons namely Manjit Kaur, Satpal Singh and Hardeep Singh, as per her own wish.

Since nothing survives in the present petition, the same stands dismissed.
