Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that son of petitioner has returned, as such, she does not want to pursue the complaint filed by petitioner-Bahadar Singh to this Court on the basis of which proceedings have been initiated in this case. She, however, submits that petitioner in her rejoinder has stated that a sum of `40,000/- was demanded and paid to ASI Kuldeep Singh to release Harpreet Singh and Lakha Singh. However, no action in this regard was taken.

In view of submissions of learned counsel for petitioner, this petition is disposed of with direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to enquire into allegations levelled by petitioner-Bahadar Singh in his rejoinder and take appropriate action in accordance with law. Copy of this order alongwith rejoinder be conveyed to Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga.
