Prayer in this writ petition is for setting aside order dated 30.04.2018 whereby claim of the petitioners for promotion to the post of Inspectors has been rejected whereas juniors to the petitioners, it is stated, have been promoted without following due process of law. Learned counsel for the State while referring to reply by way of affidavit dated 17.06.2022/22.06.2022, submits that this writ petition has been rendered infructuous as orders vide which promotion was afforded to the alleged juniors of the petitioners stand withdrawn being contrary to the departmental rules.

It is noticed that none had appeared on behalf of the petitioners on OMKAR SINGH 2022.07.13 11:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment High Court, Chandigarh



   

the last two occasions. Today again, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners.

Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed in default and nonprosecution.
