The petitioner is presently undergoing life imprisonment in Central Jail, Patiala, and has already undergone more than 8 years of actual sentence. He applied for 6 weeks emergency parole under Section 3(1)(a) of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962, to look after his minor child, admitted in the PGI, Chandigarh for heartsurgery as there was no other male member in the family to look after his treatment and arrangement of necessary funds. After notice of motion, reply has been filed in which it is averred that the minor son of the petitioner had expired on 30/31.05.2015. This fact is also not disputed by the petitioner. Since the reason for seeking emergency parole came to an end, therefore, no relief can be given to the petitioner on his application dated 29.05.2015.

Consequently, the present petition is hereby dismissed being denuded of any merit.
