...Petitioner
Versus
State of Punjab
...Respondent
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMOL RATTAN SINGH Present:- Ms. BPK Brar, Advocate, for the petitioner.
Mr. Sidakmeet Singh Sandhu, AAG, Punjab Ms. Daljeet Bhoriwal, Advocate, for the complainant. Amol Rattan Singh, J. (Oral) All the cases listed today have been taken up for hearing by way of video conferencing because of the situation existing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pursuant to the orders dated 15.09.2020 and 08.10.2020, finally a status report, dated 29.10.2020, has been filed by the DSP, Sub Division Amargarh, District Sangrur, annexing therewith the MLRs of Amandeep Singh and Harjant Singh, with learned State counsel pointing out that one person received 22 injuries and the other received 16 injuries. Learned counsel for the petitioner however submits that the petitioner has in fact been falsely roped in only because he is a friend of the other two co-accused, who are related to the complainant. The contention, at least for the purpose of this petition, would seem very odd, as to why somebody would just name only one person to simply rope him in along with two others, on account of his being a friend of theirs.
I find no ground to entertain this petition, which is consequently VIKAS CHANDER 2020.11.12 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

However, obviously all observations made in this order or in the previous orders passed, are only in the context of this petition seeking the concession of pre-arrest bail, and as regards the investigation in the matter and the trial (if it reaches at that stage), equally naturally, that would go on the basis of the evidence gathered/led. 10.11.2020 (AMOL RATTAN SINGH) vcgarg JUDGE Whether reasoned/speaking: Yes Whether reportable:
