The petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in respect of the aforementioned FIR.

Today, at the very outset, learned State counsel, upon instructions from the Investigating Officer, has informed that in the instant case all the PWs already stand examined and that the matter is now fixed before the Trial Court for 22.1.2024 for recording defence evidence.

Having regard to the aforestated position, wherein the trial is at its fag end, this Court does not deem appropriate to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The instant petition, as such, is dismissed. 4.

The Trial Court is directed to take all necessary steps as may be possible for conclusion of trial expeditiously.
